The Fulfillment In God

Hi,

I had a great revelation of God just today after reading a website on "Dating Advice"
(Author's Note: Yes! I do read such stuff, might you; I'm not getting any younger on age, beside reading these advices helps by giving you some insights to what do you really seek in a relationship with your partner.)

There are 10 dating advises, and the one I'm pointing out is number 9.

Dating Advice #9:
I have found something more satisfying than sex.

I know what you're thinking: "Yeh, right." But it's true. And in fact, in a way sex helped me to discover the something that outdoes it. And that something is not really a something, it's a someone. It's God.

Just hear me out on this one, I know it sounds far-fetched, but the whole thing makes sense. God has created us in such a way that we can't be ultimately satisfied by anything except Him. He built that into the human system, and into each one of our individual systems. As one man put it, "Inside every person is a God-shaped vacuum that only God can fill."

That's why we see people change careers, mates, fashions, and more -- because in our search for ultimate fulfilment, we get frustrated with the things (and people) that have not achieved it for us. So we discard them and move on to something (or someone) else, hoping that in them we will find the kind of fulfilment we are all really looking for. But the problem is, we never find it unless we come to God for it, because only He can provide it.

God loves us too much to see us truly satisfied by anything other than Himself. He wants the best for us, and that means Himself. Nothing or no one is more important than God. I know that's true because I found it out for myself. The emptiness I had -- after buying this and buying that, after sexual escapades, after all my efforts to be fulfilled in life -- the emptiness came to an end when I asked God into my life. More specifically, when I asked Jesus Christ into my life. Jesus Christ said, "He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty" (John 6:35). Those words came true in my life. When I entered into a relationship with God, the God-shaped vacuum inside me was finally filled. I didn't feel empty anymore. Consequently, knowing God has given me a deeper satisfaction than sex ever did.

The thing I'm pointing out isn't about God replacing our sexual craving. But the fulfillment of God in our lives.

Let sit down and dive into our thoughts, "What fulfills us? What is the thing you truly want more than anything else? What is the thing that unseen eyes inside your heart have set it's eyes upon?

Many of us can simply say "I want God! I want to run after Him!". But, sometimes in our walk with Him. We have simply changed our direction, unknowing to our hearts. Our fulfillment is no longer in God but things that we personally seek. These thing may not necessary be items or object of the physical, neither are they the luxury of life. They might be the pursuit of fame, glory, admiration, respect or even relationships that are not healthy.

What is the desire of our hearts? Are we fulfill with God in our lives? If you start to feel that there is once again an emptiness in your heart. Ask yourself what or who have you replace the void that can be only fill by God with? What is that thing that echoes in your heart daily?

The fulfillment of God in our lives is our daily walk with Him. Jesus is not someone you run to when you are in trouble. I'm not talking about the context of healing or divine intervention. I'm talking about going to Him every single days of our lives for our daily bread. He is the only way and there is NOTHING else in this universe that could even come close to replace Him.

After reading this, ask yourself. Are you fulfill in God? Or do you still hunger like the days before you met Him? What is that hunger? Daily Bread vs False Fulfillment
